DX users can now accept credit as a payment method, issuing an invoice to the customer for later payment. This payment method is primarily used in B2B relations.

You are now able to group concession items together as part of a “Collection”, allowing you for instance to create a collection of all the soft drinks that are sold in your cinema. This will save you a significant amount of time when creating menus, as you will be able to combine multiple items and collections together - say combining any soft drinks that are part of the same collection with a specific snack. No more need to manually create mutliple combinations whenever you have a new product available!

In just a few clicks, you can now create food and drink menus in your backoffice, combining different concession items together and adapting their pricing to deliver a tailored offer to your customers. Once created, these menus will be directly visible as their own category in your POS, distinguished from single concession items, saving you and your team considerable amount of time. The flexibility and ease of use of this system will enable you to get creative and develop special menus for upcoming events, further personalising the cinemagoing experience.

We’ve upgraded the POS checkout process by including barcode scanning in addition to tapping the items on the touch screen, saving you time and providing more options for the use of the POS.

This is the first iteration of barcode scanning for concession items, but stay tuned for more. In future versions, it will be possible to scan all items sold at the cinema kiosk beyond food and drink.

DX users can now easily visualize their daily admission and box office numbers, which are all available on their dashboard - the homepage of their backoffice. This first iteration of the dashboard provides a comprehensive overview of your cinema's performances, allowing you to make informed decisions to optimize operations and maximize profitability. For the next version of this tool, we will allow users to quickly visualize even more data points, such as a breakdown of concession sales and payment methods, among other things. Stay tuned!

Copy Paste your programme from one day to another. Save time planning your weekly schedule with the first iteration of DX’s Copy Paste feature within the scheduler. You can copy and paste a full day’s screening across one or multiple days in a row, keeping track of all your screening details (price cards, time, etc.). Our draft system will allow you to quickly make changes depending on your needs.

Sell more tickets online. Deliver a great customer experience. Build a cinemagoing habit.

With the latest iteration of DX’s website checkout, it becomes even easier for cinemagoers to buy tickets online and enjoy an intuitive mobile-first experience. As part of this update, cinema operators can also offer a smooth seat selection on any device. How exactly? We have upgraded to “automatic seat selection” which means that we have smart defaults. For example, The DX Platform selects the best seats available for your cinemagoers, and they can change them if they want. That speeds up the buying process, especially on mobile devices or smaller screens where it is hard to interact with a seatmap, while keeping maximum flexibility for individual preferences. In other words, this upgrade will save time for your cinemagoers!

Used by more than 8.9 million people in Sweden for a population of 10.5 and with one billion transactions made in 2023 alone, Swish is arguably the most popular mobile payment option in the country. We have integrated Swish with the DX Point of Sale, allowing cinemagoers to buy tickets using credit cards and Swish.
